Kenya Railways has announced the suspension of 4 train services within Nairobi.
The affected train services include Nairobi - Ruiru, Nairobi -Embakasi Village, Nairobi - Lukenya, and Nairobi - Syokimau.
Kenya Railways explained that the services were suspended due to the ongoing protests.
"We wish to notify members of the public that commuter train services for Nairobi- Ruiru, Nairobi-Embakasi village, Nairobi Lukenya, and Nairobi Syokimau have been temporarily suspended.
"We are compelled to take these precautionary measures because the safety of our customers is of paramount importance to us," the service provider added.

Therefore, as a safety precaution, the train operations will be temporarily halted until a time when it is determined that it is safe.
"We will advise you once normal services resume. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused," read the statement in part.
Kenya Railways is among the transport service providers that have suspended their operations owing to the protests.
Others that have suspended their operations on Wednesday include Metro Trans, which operates on various routes in Nairobi and surrounding counties.
The company explained that the suspension was temporary, given the disruptions within the CBD.
"We wish to inform you that our operations will be temporarily suspended on Wednesday due to the planned demonstrations. Normal services will resume on Thursday, 26th June 2025. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," Metro Trans announced.
