Kenya Power has announced scheduled power outages across six counties on Monday, July 14, to facilitate routine maintenance.
In a statement on Sunday, July 13, the company said the affected counties are Nandi, Kisii, Meru, Kirinyaga, Murang’a and Kilifi.
In Nandi County, power will be interrupted in Kapsabet Town, Namgoi, and the surrounding areas from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In Kisii County, areas within and around Kisii Town will also be affected.
The outage will occur between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM and will impact neighborhoods such as Kona Mbaya, Bochura, Jeokovilla, Egesa, Keyaba and Daraja Mbili Secondary.

Other affected areas include Daraja Mbili ATC, Kiongongi, Kianyabinge, St. Jude, Migingo, and adjacent locations.
In Meru County, several locations will be affected from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including Kionyo Tea Factory, Kionyo Market, Kionyo Cooling Plant, Kathangari Booster, Mugae Cooling Plant and Mugae Booster.
Muchogomone Market, Gaturi Market, Karandine, Kithaene Market, Ndagene Secondary, Murungorone Market, Kiamweri Market, Mukarangatine Market, Gumpira, Igandene, Bumbwi, Ngongo, Nyanya, and nearby customers will also be affected.
Also within the Mt. Kenya region, parts of Kirinyaga County will experience an outage from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Affected areas include Bekam Hotel, Kabari Coffee Factory, Mukengeria Coffee Factory, Gatunguru Primary School, Kiangombe Coffee Factory, Kabare Girls, Thiba Dam, Kirima Dairy, Ithareini, Vincent Kago, Kiamiciri Market, Ngungu, and the surrounding locations.
In Murang’a County, power will be out from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in and around the Delmonte Factory area.
Other affected locations include Imani Village, Pioneer Girls, Anglo-French, Ngati Police Station, and adjacent premises.
In the Coast region, Kilifi County will have a scheduled outage affecting parts of Malindi. This includes Malindi Airport, Msabaha, Kijiwetanga, Kizingo, Malindi High School, Kwachocha, Kurawa Farm, and surrounding areas.
The interruption in Kilifi will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
