Nakuru county received the highest allocation of Ksh183,432,688.

The Kenya Roads Board (KRB)has announced it released Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF) amounting to Ksh3,682,774,150 in the 2024/25 financial year for maintenance of county roads.

In a notice on Tuesday, July 22, KRB said counties are required to submit work plans for the funds by August 12, 2025.

“County Governments are required to submit detailed work plans for the amount released to respective KRB Regional Offices in Kisumu, Nyeri, Garissa, Eldoret, Isiolo, Nakuru, Kakamega & Machakos and Email to [email protected] by Tuesday, 12th August 2025,” read the notice in part.

Nakuru county received the highest allocation of Ksh183,432,688, followed by Kitui with 152,421,270, Makueni with Ksh146,891,728, and Nairobi, with Ksh 120,057,803. 

Kiambu was allocated Ksh117,570,951, Machakos Ksh111,105,020, Kajiado Ksh106,540,207, and Meru Ksh105,836,065.

KRB allocated Ksh100,389,079 to Nyeri County while Narok and Muranga County received Ksh97,352,422 and Ksh92,158,170 respectively.

Mombasa was allocated Ksh45,601,067, Kwale 71,758,747, Kilifi Ksh85,820,621, Tana River Ksh69,459,630, Lamu Ksh47,403,262, Taita Taveta Ksh78,389,752, Garissa Ksh63,863,645, Wajir Ksh 90,533,914, Mandera 66,010,855 and Marsabit Ksh83,508,017.

Isiolo received Ksh,64,255,720, Tharaka Nithi Ksh55,944,250.00, Embu Ksh73,706,112, Nyandarua Ksh78,019,732, Kirinyaga Ksh67,262,744, Turkana Ksh88,140,833, West Pokot Ksh57,829,022 and Samburu Ksh60,855,995.

On the other hand, Trans-Nzoia received Ksh52,848,312, Uasin Gishu Ksh86,288,947, Elgeyo Marakwet Ksh52,755,391, Nandi Ksh65,154,809, Baringo Ksh71,309,826, Laikipia Ksh80,806,317, Kericho Ksh59,568,948, Bomet 57,185,813, Kakamega Ksh81,318,878, Vihiga Ksh37,535,760, Bungoma Ksh63,910,688 and Busia Ksh45,520,243.

Meanwhile, Siaya was allocated Ksh57,316,842, Kisumu Ksh68,301,577, Homabay Ksh61,056,106, Migori Ksh56,919,675, Kisii Ksh60,713,540 and Nyamira Ksh41,412,736.
