The family of the late Haman Odhiambo Omamba, a former Member of Parliament for Wuriri, is demanding answers following the killing of their son, Mike Omamba.
Mike, who was also the brother to North Kanyamkago MCA George Omamba, was discovered on Wednesday morning, July 23, lying in a pool of blood just a short distance from his home.
According to local reports, the deceased was attacked while returning from a local entertainment spot in Migori town.
Family representatives confirmed that Mike had suffered stab wounds to the chest during the fatal assault.
The family now wants authorities to thoroughly investigate the incident and bring those responsible to book.

“We are requesting the authorities to look into this issue properly. What we want as a family is to know why Mike was killed,” Kennedy Odhiambo, a relative, stated.
This tragic incident comes as the family was already grappling with the recent loss of Suslia Omamba, the first wife of the late MP.
According to a post by George Omamba, their mother passed away on July 5 and is scheduled to be laid to rest on August 8.
Authorities have since moved Mike's body to Migori County Referral Hospital in Mchere for a postmortem.
The family is now calling for a full and transparent investigation into the murder, demanding justice and answers as they continue to mourn multiple losses.
