Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in eight counties on Tuesday, August 5, to facilitate maintenance works.
According to a statement on Monday, August 4, two areas in Nairobi County will experience all-day outages.
Parts of Zimmerman, Githurai 44, Maziwa, Kamuthi Farmers, Kahawa West, and Kamae will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Lavington, affected areas include Olenguruone, Mageta, Mugumo, Isaac Gathanju, Gitanga, Jacaranda, Vanga, Othaya, Mbaazi Avenue, and Msanduku Lane, as well as Lavington Shopping Centre, Narid Merali, Maaji Mazuri, Muthangari, Muhoya Road, and nearby areas.
In Kajiado County, residents around Church Road in Matasia, including Ole Motondo, Green Castle, Tumaini, and Quick Mart, will face outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Kitengela residents in Milimani, Old Namanga Road, Air View, Vekaria, Kwa Mohammed, Bible College, Capitol Hill, Almond Grove, KUSCO, Ken Pipe, Thorn Grove, Raregem, and nearby areas will also be affected during the same time.
In Nandi County, parts of Mugundoi, including Kipkenyo and Kamarich, will have no electricity from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In Homa Bay County, Kenya Power will interrupt supply from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Homa Bay Town and the surrounding areas.
The blackout will affect Ogandi, Arujo, Maguti, Imbo, Rangwe, Asumbi, Nyawita, Namba, Omoche, Ndiru, Onyege, Onjinyo, Omoya, Ohero, Shauri Yako, and God Bondo.
Got Rabuor, Olare Market, Nyangweso Market, Samanga Centre and Schools, Kadel Market, Kodula, Ndhok Mit, Kandiege, Homahills, Sero, and Pap Ndege will also be affected.
In Nyeri County, areas scheduled for blackout from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. include Witima Market, Gatugi Market, Gaikundo, Mairo, Chinga C/Fact, Gitandara Hotel, Irindi Secondary, Kiamuya Secondary, Kariki Market, Gr. Wangome, Kiaguthu Secondary, Ichamama, Kiriani Girls, Kiru Boys, Kanjama Market, Umbui Market, Mwangathia, and nearby areas.
In Murang’a County, power will be off in Githambo Tea zone between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., affecting Githambo Market, Kanyenyaini Market, Kiruri Market, Tutho Market, Karurumo Market, Rwathia Market, and Kiairathe Market.
In Mombasa County, the blackout will hit areas around Uhuru Gardens, Best Electronics Mall, Red Cross Mombasa, Nairobi University Mombasa Campus, AAR Healthcare, FIDA Kenya, Chloride Exide, Auto Express, Toyota Kenya, CFAO Mombasa, and Dakika Motors.
Lungalunga Road in Likoni will also be affected, including Mrima Primary, Pentagon, Mt. Sinai, Mwananziya, Approved School, Gambani, Office ya Jaara, Mabrux, Mwahima Hospital, Soweto, Mwanajuma Mchetu, Corner Mpya, Third World, Maere, and Mwaweche.
Kibaki Estate, Shika Adabu, Ujamaa, Barabara Mchanga, Consolata, Miskiti Miwili, Inspiration, Pungu Villas, Mbuta, Mwangala, Bububu, and surrounding areas will also be affected.
Lastly, in Kwale County, Msambweni, Shimoni, and Lungalunga areas will be affected between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
This includes Msambweni Hospital, Bomani, Shimbahills, Kikoneni, and adjacent locations.
