Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah has disclosed that his net worth ranges between Ksh100 million and Ksh200 million.
Speaking during an interview on Tuesday, August 5, Omtatah said his wealth consists of parcels of land and a transportation company he owns.
“I own quite a bit of land, which I have been buying pieces here and there. I run a transport company, which has several trucks.
“I have not calculated my net worth, but I think if I was to be assessed well including liquidating the pieces of land I have and whatever I could put myself at between Ksh100 million to Ksh200 million as my worth in terms of assets and stuff like that, and I can account for each of them,” said Omtatah.
At the same time, the 2027 presidential hopeful said he could work with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua if he provides a clear policy on how to govern the country.

“I could work with him (Gachagua), why not, but it will be in the question of the ideological framework. I am a civic republican,” Omtatah stated.
If elected as President in 2027, Omtatah said he would dismantle what he termed as an imperial presidency.
The Busia Senator pledged to uphold constitutional order in the handling of public funds.
"In my implementation, I have anchor chapters. The first thing would be to destroy the imperial presidency. An imperial president is nothing but the power of the past, where he controls both money and Executive power," Omtatah said.
