KUCCPS has reopened applications for Diploma and Certificate programmes at KMTC for the September 2025 intake.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the reopening of applications for Diploma and Certificate programmes at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the September 2025 intake.

In a notice released on Friday, August 22, the placement agency outlined the application process and key dates for prospective students seeking admission to KMTC programmes.

According to the notice, the application window runs from August 15 to August 28, 2025, giving candidates two weeks to submit their applications through the KUCCPS Student Portal at students.kuccps.net.

"Don't miss out! Apply now to secure your chance for the September 2025 intake!" KUCCPS emphasized in its announcement that it urges eligible candidates to take advantage of the opportunity.

All applications must be submitted online through the dedicated KUCCPS Student Portal.

This announcement comes weeks after KUCCPS opened applications for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes across various institutions for the September 2025 academic year.

In early August, the placement service invited Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) graduates from 2000 to 2024 to apply for TVET courses.

The application period for those programmes ran from August 8 to August 22, and submissions were made through the same online portal.

To enhance accessibility and encourage more involvement in technical education, KUCCPS implemented a significant fee reduction, cutting application costs for TVET programmes from Ksh 1,500 to Ksh 500.

The earlier announcement outlined clear entry requirements for different programme levels: diploma courses required a minimum grade of C- in KCSE, while craft certificate programmes required at least a D grade.

Artisan certificate courses had the most flexible entry requirement of a minimum E grade.

KUCCPS has established multiple support channels for students requiring assistance during the application process. Candidates can visit nearby TVET institutions or Huduma Centres for guidance, contact the placement service directly through their helplines, or access additional resources on the official KUCCPS website.
