Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris has called for swift justice following the brutal murder of Susan Nabwire, who was allegedly killed by her husband in their Kware home on August 13th.
On Monday, Passaris noted that the tragic incident, which occurred in front of Nabwire's one-year-old child and house help, represents another devastating case in Kenya's escalating femicide crisis.
In a strongly-worded social media statement, Passaris addressed the suspect directly, writing, "Cyprian, you didn't just kill your wife; you killed the mother of your child. That little one now has no mother. And no father."
The Women Representative emphasized the devastating impact on the orphaned infant, who is now in the care of grieving relatives after witnessing the horrific attack that unfolded in their Pipeline home.

According to the victim's mother, Phyllis Makoha, the fatal incident began as a domestic quarrel when 44-year-old Cyprian Magohe returned home in an agitated mood, demanding his wife's phone passwords and M-Pesa PIN while accusing her of infidelity.
The situation escalated around 3 am when, as Susan was preparing to leave for work, Magohe allegedly retrieved an axe from the bathroom, tied a rope around her neck, and stabbed her in the eye before pushing her lifeless body under the bed.
Post-mortem results revealed that Nabwire died of strangulation.
Passaris stressed the importance of seeking help rather than resorting to violence, urging people in marriage to opt for better ways of solving disagreements.
"When anger consumes you: seek restraint, counselling, separation, even divorce, but never murder."
The suspect, who is also accused of sexually assaulting the house help in the process, is currently in custody at Embakasi Police Station awaiting arraignment. At the same time, the family appeals for help with burial arrangements and continues to demand justice without delay.
Passaris finally called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to act swiftly and grant justice to the grieving family.
