Several people were injured on Tuesday, September 2, following a road accident at Chepsir along the busy Kericho–Nakuru highway.
According to media reports, the crash occurred when a lorry lost control, slamming head-on into a passenger bus before ploughing into other vehicles.
The accident also involved a private car and a trailer, which swerved off the road while trying to avoid the collision.
Images circulating on social media captured the aftermath of the wreckage, with the lorry badly mangled and its windscreen and mirrors shattered.
The bus was also extensively damaged, particularly at the front.

This comes a week after 15 people sustained injuries of varied degrees after their matatu collided with a trailer in Mombasa. The accident occurred late Saturday night, August 23.
According to the Kenya Red Cross, the accident happened at a spot in Kibarani near Ug Holdings.
"A road traffic accident involving a PSV matatu and a cargo container has occurred at Kibarani, just after Ug Holdings, Mombasa County," the humanitarian agency reported.
The agency deployed its response on the scene to carry out rescue operations alongside other teams from the county disaster management.
At the scene, the trailer appeared overturned on the road as the matatu wreckage stood by the side.
Luckily, no fatalities were reported at the scene.
The Kenya Red Cross said it had accounted for all the passengers who it said suffered injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.
"We are on the ground responding alongside a multi-agency response team. Fifteen people sustained injuries and were taken to health facilities by well-wishers. Thankfully, no lives were lost. The scene has been cleared," Kenya Red Cross said in another update.
Prior to that, two people were killed on the morning of Sunday, August 17, after the lorry they were traveling in plunged into a river along the Bomet–Kaplong highway.
The lorry, which was carrying three occupants, lost control and crashed into the Soiymet River, killing two people on the spot.
The lone survivor of the accident was rescued by emergency responders from the Kenya Red Cross and Bomet County Government and rushed to Kaplong Hospital for medical attention.
Photos of the accident seen by nairobileo.co.ke showed the lorry completely overturned with extensive damage to its front side.
Police officers were also deployed to the accident scene to retrieve the lorry from the river.
