This is suspected to be a case of a love affair gone sour.

Police have launched investigations after a 29-year-old woman was found dead.

According to reports, a family in Mai Mahiu, Naivasha, is demanding justice following the mysterious death of their firstborn daughter in what is suspected to be a love affair gone sour.

The 29-year-old Naomi Wangari and her lover were found dead, with their bodies discovered at Nairobi City Mortuary.

Naomi had gone missing for the past two weeks after spending an evening with her lover and unidentified individuals at a local pub.

The family's desperate search across various mortuaries in the city finally ended when they located her remains at the City Mortuary.

"We have been going around in mortuaries for the past two weeks. Yesterday we finally found her body at the City Mortuary," the father explained. "Her body had deep cuts, and they found it beside a road."

The discovery has raised disturbing questions about the circumstances surrounding Naomi's death, with the family pointing to suspicious activities that occurred after her alleged death.

A family friend highlighted peculiar circumstances that have deepened the mystery surrounding Naomi's death, particularly regarding her mobile phone activity.

"When we went to City Mortuary, we discovered that the body was brought in on August 24, but her phone was switched on momentarily on August 26. How can a dead person operate a phone? We want answers," a family friend stated.

Naomi's mother expressed her anguish and called for justice for her daughter, emphasizing that she was trying to provide for her children.

"I want justice for my daughter. She didn't deserve that. She was looking for a livelihood for her children. She didn't steal from anyone," the mother stated.

Around the same period, on August 27, DCI launched comprehensive investigations into escalating violence involving young people in Nairobi.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations initiated operations to dismantle juvenile gangs following the tragic death of a teenager in violent confrontations.

The agency confirmed that 15-year-old Joshua Kubiti had died while receiving medical treatment at Radiant Hospital in Umoja after being injured in gang clashes that were captured on video and circulated on social media.

Investigations revealed that these gangs, primarily consisting of school-going teenagers, operate under various aliases, including Chinje, Mbogi, Bad Bunny, and Silent. The groups have been connected to criminal activities such as phone theft across different areas of Nairobi.

"Preliminary investigations have established that the boys, aged between 12 and 19, have formed rival groups under names such as Chinje, Mbogi, Bad Bunny, and Silent, among others," the DCI statement revealed.

The agency noted that these groups have been responsible for violent confrontations, phone snatching, and theft in areas including Tena, Innercore, Umoja I, II & III, Kayole, Kariobangi, and neighboring locations.
