She has extensive experience in customs reforms, trade facilitation, and organizational development.

Previously, Ngetich was the Deputy Commissioner, Policy and International Affairs in the Customs and Border Control Department at KRA, and Senior Manager, Customs and Tax Advisory at Ernst and Young LLP.

“She has played a pivotal role in customs reforms, trade facilitation, African Continental Free Trade Area negotiations, and East African Community customs policy,” KRA stated.

Ngetich is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya, and the Kenya Institute of Management.

KRA also announced changes in the Large and Medium Taxpayers Department. The authority seconded Rispah Simiyu to the Ministry of the National Treasury and Economic Planning.

In her place, Doreen Mbingi, Deputy Commissioner for Compliance in East and South Nairobi, has been appointed to lead the department in an acting capacity pending substantive confirmation.

Further, KRA congratulated Ngetich and Mbingi for their appointments and urged taxpayers and stakeholders to continue extending their support and collaboration.

“We congratulate both appointees and reaffirm our commitment to revenue mobilization for national development while delivering efficient, fair, and transparent services to all taxpayers,” KRA stated.
