Government pathologist Johansen Oduor has revealed that city lawyer Kyalo Mbobu was shot eight times on Tuesday evening.
Speaking after conducting an autopsy on the body, Oduor explained that the shooter was at close range during the incident.
According to the autopsy report, Kyalo died as a result of severe injuries and over-bleeding from the gunshot wounds sustained during the shooting.
This comes after the family of the deceased made their first public statement on Thursday, September 11, calling on the government and law enforcement agencies to expedite investigations and bring the perpetrators to justice.
In an emotional appeal, Mbobu's mother described her son's character and pleaded for government intervention.

"Kyalo was a good person. He was so good to me; he has done so many good things for me," she stated. "I'm begging the government to intervene and do something about this."
The victim's younger brother, who is also a lawyer, revealed how he learned of the tragedy.
"I learned of my brother's passing through social media," he stated, highlighting the devastating nature of the loss.
He further made a broader appeal for public safety, emphasizing the need for citizens to feel secure in their daily activities.
"We appeal to the government to investigate this. We need a country where we feel safe driving around and walking around. While at our daily hustles, we do not need to keep alert and wonder when someone might come and attack us."
Mbobu was shot dead on Tuesday evening along Magadi Road in Karen, when a motorcycle-riding gunman approached the lawyer's stationary vehicle and opened fire without warning.
Eyewitness accounts and police reports indicate that the attackers shattered Mbobu's car windshield before discharging multiple rounds at the prominent legal practitioner.
The autopsy findings now confirm that eight bullets struck the victim at close range, causing severe injuries that led to massive blood loss.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has maintained its commitment to solving the high-profile murder case.
Crime scene specialists from the DCI Homicide Bureau, working alongside experts from the National Forensic Laboratory, conducted a thorough examination of the site and gathered crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.
"The DCI is committed to ensuring that the perpetrators of this heinous act are brought to justice. Our investigators are working diligently, employing all available resources and expertise to piece together the events surrounding this incident," the directorate stated.
