Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived at the Ngong Racecourse for the Jubilee Party NDC.

Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday, September 26,  arrived at the Ngong Racecourse for the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference (NDC).

The former head of state was received by former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, Jubilee National Chairman Torome Saitoti, and other party officials.

Uhuru then proceeded to the tent set up for the NDC, taking a front-row seat with Matiang’i on his left.

The former president is expected to outline the Jubilee Party’s future ahead of the 2027 general election.

“It’s Uhuru’s day today, Uhuru Kenyatta officially takes charge of the Jubilee Party, charting the way forward after nearly two and a half years of relentless battles that followed an attempted illegal takeover of the party.

“All attention is now on his address at the Jubilee Party Special NDC this morning, as members and supporters look forward to his guidance and renewed direction for the party,” Jubilee Party Deputy Organizing Secretary Pauline Njoroge stated.

On September 4, the party announced it would convene an NDC on Friday, September 26, at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi.

In a notice, the party stated that the conference is being convened pursuant to the party's constitution.

The agenda for the NDC includes receiving a status report from the National Executive Committee, reviewing and approving key party instruments, and addressing other matters that may arise.

Jubilee delegates are also expected to deliberate on amendments and approvals concerning the party’s constitution, organs, policies, and programs.

"Further to our notice of a Special National Delegates Convention dated 5th August 2025 and pursuant to Article 8.1 and 10.1 of the Jubilee Party Constitution, a notice is hereby issued for a Special National Delegates Convention to be held at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi, Kenya on 26th September 2025," the notice read.

On June 12, Uhuru was reinstated as the Jubilee Party leader after the Milimani High Court upheld resolutions from the Jubilee Party’s May 2023 NDC meeting.

The decision also validated leadership changes made during the convention, including confirming Jeremiah Kioni as Secretary General and Saitoti Torome as National Chairperson.
