Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across four counties, including Kisii, on Saturday.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across four counties on Saturday, October 18.

In a statement on Friday, October 17, the company said the scheduled outages are part of routine maintenance exercises.

The affected regions include parts of Kakamega, Bungoma, Kisii, and Kilifi counties.

In Kakamega County, the outage will affect the Malava area from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The specific locations to be affected include Muchanja, Mahira, Ingavira, Makale, West Kenya Sugar, Shamberere, Kambiri, Ivakale, Mukangu, Lwanda, Lukusi, Mukombero, Samitsi, Chamnego, Malava, Kakoi, Natunyi and adjacent customers.

In Bungoma County, the power interruption will also run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., targeting the Webuye area. 

The affected locations are Webuye Town, Webuye Sub-County Hospital, Nabuyole, Milo, Kakimayi, Khalumuli, Matulo, Matete, Kuiywa, Chebwayi, Nabwala, Mangana, Johari Maize Mill, Hongera Maize Mill, Ngwelo and adjacent customers.

Residents of Kisii County will also experience outages in Nyamache and Kiamokama areas during the same period. 

Areas to be affected include Nyamache Tea Factory, Borangi, Kegochi, Matierio, Nyamache Hospital, Nyoera, Tukiamwana, Igare, Emenwa, Nyamagwa Boys, Boitangare, Kiobegi, Nyabite, Nyamache Market and adjacent customers.

In Kilifi County, parts of Malindi Town along Lamu Road will also be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The specific areas include Malindi Complex, Naivas Supermarket, Malindi Casino, 7 to 7 Supermarket, Malindi Police Station, Co-op Bank, Family Bank, Majengo, Maimoon Hospital, Star Hospital and adjacent customers.
