Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in four counties, including Nairobi, on Friday.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in parts of four counties on Friday, October 24, as part of its ongoing maintenance works.

In a notice on Thursday, October 23, the company said the planned outages will affect specific areas in Nairobi, Narok, Kisii, and Migori counties.

The maintenance works are scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Nairobi County, the outage will affect part of Muthaiga, including Karura Avenue, Mini Market, Muthaiga Road, and nearby diplomatic residences such as the Embassies of Israel, Belgium, USA, Ghana, Italy, Austria, and Tanzania, along with adjacent customers.

In Narok County, power supply will be interrupted in Dikirr, Mokondo, and Kirindoni areas. 

The affected zones include Esoit, Murkan, Kurangurik, Dikirr, Mamboleo, Kapolecho, Mokondo, Simotwet, Kapweria, Tumda, Kiletien, Chemmamit, Kiriwet, Kapsinendet, and adjacent customers.

In Kisii County, parts of Keumbu and Kiandege will be without electricity during the scheduled period. 

The blackout will affect Keumbu Sub-County Hospital and Market, Riondonga Secondary, Nyaturubo, Boruma Secondary, Kiangende Polytechnic, Gesere, Nyamanengo, and adjacent customers.

Meanwhile, in Migori County, the planned outage will cover Awendo Town, Ranen, and Rinya, including Sony Sugar and surrounding areas.
