In Isiolo County, several areas will be affected by a daylong outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

These include Airport, Kandebe Market, Mwangaza Water Supply, 78 Tank Battalion, Kambi Sharrif, Osman Ndima, Ntulele Primary, Kisima Borehole, and adjacent customers.

This comes days after police in Kisumu East arrested five suspects believed to be behind recurrent vandalism of Kenya Power company cables.

Stephen Ngeso alias Jakano, Kevin Omondi 'Magufuli', Fredrick Onyango, Joseph Otieno, and Ayub Odhiambo were arrested following a police raid in the Kager Aredo area.

According to police commander Edward Wafula, the operation was conducted after officers received actionable intelligence linking the suspects to the recent spate of vandalism targeting power infrastructure in the area.

Officers from the Gita Police Station raided a house where the suspects were allegedly hiding stolen electric cables.

The five attempted to escape but were subdued and arrested with the help of members of the public.

During the operation, police recovered a 600-metre-long bundle of electric cables, which had been concealed under a blue-and-white leso and covered with bricks.
