President William Ruto has made a new appointment to the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) board, naming a non-executive chairperson for a one-year term.
In a gazette notice dated Thursday, November 28, the President exercised powers conferred by section 5 (1) (f) (i) of the Kenya Roads Act to re-appoint Winfrida Ngumi as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya National Highways Authority.
Ngumi's appointment is effective from November 28, 2025, and will run until November 23, 2026.
Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Migos Ogamba has announced several appointments to various university councils nationwide.
The CS appointed Dr. Titus Ogalo Pacho as a Member of the Council of Tom Mboya University for a three-year term, effective from November 28, 2025.

In the same notice, Ogamba appointed Grace Tago Khayota to serve as a Member of the Council of Garissa University for a three-year term, effective from the same date.
Additionally, Peter Maangi Mtiambo was appointed the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Council of Machakos University, serving a three-year term commencing on November 28, 2025.

The Education CS also appointed Professor Amos Gitau Njuguna as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Council of Nyandarua University College for a three-year term, effective from November 28, 2025.
Furthermore, Virginia Nzisa was appointed as a Member of the Council of Kibabii University for a three-year term, effective from the same date.
Subsequently, Shamim Chanzu was appointed as a Member of the Council of Karatina University for a three-year term, effective from November 28, 2025. This appointment was made under powers conferred by the Universities Act and section 51 (1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act. The notice also indicated that the appointment of Carren Onuwenga has been revoked.
