Noordin's son, Mohammed Noordin Mohammed, is to be betrothed to Jamila Mohammed.
Also among the high-level dignitaries is Sheikh Mohamed Madobe, the president of the Jubaland State of Somalia.

Nikkah is the Islamic marriage contract, a solemn and lawful bond between a man and a woman, carried out under the principles of the Islamic Sharia laws.
It serves as both a civil agreement and a spiritual pledge before Allah, founded on mutual consent and validated by witnesses.
Being a special and sacred Islamic ceremony, the bride, who is present at the event, will not be paraded.
The attendees kept to a white theme, with a majority donning white Kanzus accessorised by floral caps and other Islamic regalia.

Noordin is the son of the late Yusuf Haji, who was the senator og Garissa at the time of his death in 2021.
He made a grand entry into public service when he was appointed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in 2018.
His tenure was characterised by the prosecution of high-profile cases involving ranking public servants, including Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, who was accused of corruption, abuse of office, and tax evasion.

Noordin left the ODPP in 2023 to lead the NIS as its director general.
Meanwhile, his younger brother, Abdul Haji, is the current senator. He was first elected in 2021 to replace his late father and retained the seat in 2022.
