Gov’t Agency Announces 43 Job Opportunities; How to Apply

The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) has announced multiple job vacancies across various departments. 

In a public notice, KIPPRA stated that it is seeking to recruit 43 professionals to strengthen its policy research, analysis, and institutional support functions.  

The advertised positions span senior management, policy analysis, legal, finance, audit, administration, and support services.

They include roles such as Director of Integrated Services, Deputy Directors in several thematic areas, Principal Policy Analysts, Senior Policy Analysts, Corporation Secretary, Principal Legal Officer and Principal Internal Auditor.

Others are Senior Planning Officer, Accountant, Editor, Policy Analysts, Security Officer, Supply Chain Management Assistant, and Senior Office Assistant, among others.

KIPPRA noted that some of the vacancies are readvertisements, while others are being advertised for the first time. 

The opportunities are distributed across key departments, including governance, macroeconomics, productive sector, social sector, strategy and planning, trade and foreign policy, capacity building, legal services, finance, human resource and administration, and knowledge management.

According to the agency, detailed job descriptions, requirements, and application procedures are available on the KIPPRA recruitment portal and its official website at www.kippra.or.ke. 

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through the recruitment portal.

All applications must be submitted on or before January 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.; KIPPRA noted that late applications will not be accepted.

The institute further clarified that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process and warned applicants against canvassing, noting that doing so will lead to automatic disqualification.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and will be required to present original documents during interviews, including identification documents, academic and professional certificates, testimonials, and clearance certificates from relevant authorities. 

Successful candidates will also be required to provide clearance from bodies such as the Higher Education Loans Board, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the Kenya Revenue Authority, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and a recognized credit reference bureau.

Elsewhere, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised over 800 job positions across various State Departments.

The commission noted that the vacancies span multiple sectors, including Economic Planning, Foreign Affairs, Public Service, Devolution, Trade, Climate Change, Lands, Youth Affairs, Regional Development, Children Services and Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs.

Vacancies in senior positions include Secretary, Government Delivery Unit, Secretary Economic Planning, Director Foreign Service/Minister II, Deputy Director Foreign Service/Minister Counsellor, Assistant Director Foreign Service/ Counsellor, Secretary, Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Chief Engineer, Materials, Director Domestic Trade, Assistant Director, Investment and Secretary Youth Development.

Others are Director Meteorological Services, Deputy Director, Climate Change (Mitigation), Secretary Human Resource Management, Secretary Public Sector Reforms, Secretary Human Resource Information Services, Deputy Director Human Resource Management and Development, Deputy Director Human Resource Information Services, Assistant Director Human Resource Management and Development, Deputy Director, Children Services, Deputy Director, Social Development, Deputy Director, Strategic Programmes and Assistant Director, Regional Development.

Entry level positions in the Public Service Commission include Administration Officer II, Human Resource Management & Development Officer II, Compliance Audit Officer II, Ethics & Values Officer II, Accountant II, Internal Auditor II, Records Management Officer II, ICT Officer II, Research Officer II, Policy Analyst II, Supply Chain Management Officer II, Assistant Supply Chain Management Officer, and Driver II.

Other entry-level positions include Devolution Officer II (Devolution), Land Information Officer II (Lands and Physical Planning), Lands Records Management Assistant III (Lands and Physical Planning), Clerical Officer II and Office Assistant III (Public Service & Human Capital Development).
