Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions that will affect parts of Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Homa Bay counties on Thursday.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions that will affect parts of Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Homa Bay counties on Thursday, December 18. 

In a notice on Wednesday, December 17, the company said the planned outages are necessary to allow routine maintenance.

In Nairobi County, the outage will affect parts of Ngong Road from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Areas to be affected include Mutuini Primary School, Kivuli Centre, Cabby Centre, Riruta Police Station, Kabiria Road, part of the Southern Bypass, Ngotho Road, part of Wanyee Road, The Bull Restaurant, Kinyanjui Technical, Kinyanjui Road, Pathenious and adjacent customers.

In Uasin Gishu County, power will be interrupted in Moiben, Kabomoi and Meibeki from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The affected areas are Moiben Centre, Kabomoi, Kokwet, Chebororwo, Koitugum, Meibeki, Kapsigilai and adjacent customers.

In Nandi County, the interruption will affect Tembwo and Koimet areas from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Customers in Koyo Market, Koyo Tea Factory, Koimet, Kundos Village and adjacent areas will be affected.

In Homa Bay County, power supply will be unavailable in Sindo, Nyandiwa and Magunga from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The outage will affect Mbita High School, Gingo, Victoria Sands, Sindo, Nyatoto, Nyabera, Victory Farm, Nyandiwa, Kiabuya, Magunga, Ruma National Park and adjacent customers.
