Lawyer Philip Murgor on April 16, 2021 cheekily took a swipe at acting Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu.
The senior counsel was appearing before the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in an interview for the country's next Chief Justice.
Leading the panel, Mwilu posed a question to Murgor, who took a dig at the acting CJ before proceeding to answer the question.

Murgor is the fifth candidate to be interviewed by JSC.
He had been quized on the issue of judicial activism and whether it is desirable or not.
"You know you make it sound like we are in an exam commissioner Mwilu," Murgor remarked.
"I don't know who has told you, but I believe that is criticism which has been levelled against the judiciary by some quarters," he answered, before being interrupted by CJ Mwilu.
She had questioned the senior counsel on his views with regard to the criticism that has been directed at JSC's way for allegedly mingling in matters that don't concern the commission.
The Judiciary has often been criticised for annulling laws, they must not legislate from the bench. In some instances been accused of playing activist.
Critics of the commission have often urged it to exercise restraint in some matters.
Murgor served as Kenya's Director of Public Prosecutions between 2003 and 2005.
The senior counsel boasts a 34-year experience in the legal profession.
