A man suspected to have raped a teenager was on Wednesday arrested by police after the girl bravely grabbed his car's steering wheel.
The suspect offered the girl and another primary school learner a lift from Kabuko to Limuru Town. He dropped off the pupil near St. Paul’s University and changed route while the teenage girl was still in his vehicle.
Instead of presiding to Limuru, the suspect diverted his car into the tea bushes where he defiled the girl and threatened to inject her with an unknown substance if she screams.
After he was done the man drove off with the girl in his car but when the teenager stopped tea leaves pickers she grabbed the wheel and the vehicle veered off the road and crashed in a ditch.
The girl stormed out of the vehicle screaming and the tea pickers rushed to help her. When she narrated her ordeal to them the angry mob descended on the alleged defiler and beat him up.
