President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday, October 15
nominated ambassadors and head of Kenyan missions abroad.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Head of Public Service
Joseph Kinyua announced that the Head of State had nominated over 10
candidates for deployment to various missions abroad.
However, one candidate caught the attention of renowned blogger Denis Itumbi who claimed that the nominee was mama Ida Odinga’s Personal Assistant.
According to Itumbi, the nomination of Irene Achieng Oloo as
the Deputy Head of Mission to New Delhi proved that former Prime Minister Raila
Odinga was in government.

He sarcastically urged Odinga to ensure that a few youth
from Kisumu are also appointed too plum positions since he is ‘in government’.
“Congratulations Mama Ida Odinga's PA, Irene Achieng Oloo on your Appointment as Deputy Head of Mission New Delhi. Together with others so appointed, serve your Nation. @RailaOdinga Nimekubali uko Serikali. Appoint a few Hustlers from Kisumu too. Jioni poa PM - from HN Spokesman,” he tweeted.

ambassadorial nominations
Meanwhile, the nominations caused uproar after it emerged
that the Head of State had nominated former IEBC commissioners and vice-chair.
The three; Margaret Mwachanya, Connie Nkatha and Paul Kurgat
resigned from the polls body after the contested 2017 presidential elections.
According to some netizens, the three were responsible for the bangled polls and are not suitable for nomination for the plum jobs.
