Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in parts of eight counties on Tuesday, August 18.
In a notice on Monday, August 17, the company said the outages will affect selected areas across Kisumu, Bungoma, Migori, Homa Bay, Nyeri, Laikipia, Taita Taveta, Kwale and Mombasa counties.
In Kisumu County, customers in Mamboleo will experience an electricity interruption affecting Ridge Park Estate and adjacent customers. The outage is scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In Bungoma County, the interruption will affect Kimilili, Lutonyi, Chebukwabi, Nasinda, Namawanga and Kimalewa, together with adjacent customers. The outage is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Migori County, areas affected will include Saa Yote, Wuoth Ogik, Kadika, Ngege, Nyamware, Siling, Alara, Mapera, Waitharaga and Osingo, as well as adjacent customers. The interruption is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Homa Bay County, customers in Radiro, Kodiera, Kamata, Malela, Ogongo, Nyakayiemba and Koguta Junction, together with adjacent customers, will be affected. The scheduled outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Several areas in Nyeri County will also experience power interruptions.
The affected locations include Kagumo High School, Kirichu Market, Kanuna, Clara Bakers, Grand Stone Hotel, Site & Services Kiganjo, and Nyeri Diocese College.
Ihiga Village, Roza Academy, Wangi Water Project and Ndurutu Market, together with adjacent customers will also be affected.

Another interruption in Nyeri will affect Munandaini, Kahigaini Village, Kahigaini Market, Njoguini, Kamathi and Karunaini, while a separate outage will affect Komu Nursery, Birisha Borehole, Lavenda Village, Lavenda Primary and Lavenda Secondary.
Kenya Power will also interrupt electricity supply in Mihuti Market, Zinc Hotel, Mihuti Secondary, Ndimaini, South Tetu Girls, Giathugu Market, Muchatha Market, Thukuma Market, Ititu Market and Mirichu, together with adjacent customers.
In Laikipia County, the planned outage will affect Ibis Farm, Kirimara, Magutu, Mia Moja, Ngenia, Sirimon, GAW, Kithithina, Kwa Makara, Kwa Mumero and Graton, as well as adjacent customers. The interruption is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
On the Coast, customers in Taita Taveta County will be affected in the whole of Voi New Market, Catholic Voi Town, parts of Voi Railways Houses and Maweni, together with adjacent customers.
In Kwale County, the affected areas will include Kinango, Tiribe, Madabara, Gulanze, Ndavaya and Mwalukombe, alongside adjacent customers.
Mombasa County will also experience an interruption affecting Concordia, Kajiweni, Makadara Ndogo Referral Hospital, Mtopanga Primary School, Mtopanga Estate, Manoni, Chembani, and Bakarani.
Other affected areas are Camp David Restaurant, Kobil Mtopanga, KCB Mwandoni, Mwandoni, Sunlight, Uwanja wa Cobra, Kwa Mbuthia, Bakarani Stage Mosque, part of Barsheba and Katisha, as well as adjacent customers.
