Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in eight counties on Tuesday, August 25.
In a notice on Monday, August 24, the company said the planned outages will affect selected areas in Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, West Pokot, Migori, Homa Bay, Laikipia, Marsabit and Mombasa counties.
In Nairobi, Kenya Power will interrupt electricity supply in part of Mowlem from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The affected areas will include part of Mowlem, KPLC Juja Control, KPCU and adjacent customers.
Power will also be interrupted in Nairobi West between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Nairobi West, Msufu Road, Sumba Road, Naimei Road, ICC Church Mombasa Road, Paa Crescent, Kifaru Crescent, Swara Crescent, Ghandi Avenue, Kisauni Road, Muthaiti Avenue, Muhoho Avenue, Nairobi West Hospital, Hotel Rio, Kodi Road, Summerdale Hotel, and ABSA Bank Nairobi West.

Others are Geta Road, Nyayo Stadium Masaba Road, Ole Sankale Road, Madaraka Estate, Serene Court, Foundation Court, Ramsey Court, Siwaka Estate, Strathmore University, Langata Technical College, Madaraka Primary School and adjacent customers.
In Uasin Gishu County, electricity supply will be interrupted in the Neema School area from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Neema School, Blossom, Oasis Bible College, Royalton, Nandi Gaa, Kimuri and adjacent customers.
In West Pokot County, areas around Kacheliba, Alale and Konyao will experience an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Kachepkai, Serewo, Kitelakapel, Kacheliba, Tapadany, Kodich, Konyao, Chelopoy, Alale and adjacent customers.
In Migori County, power will be interrupted in Taranganya and Kobito from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected locations include the whole of Kobito, parts of Taranganya, Getotira, Masangora, Getonganya, Nyamotambe and adjacent customers.
In Homa Bay County, areas around Waondo and Kitare will experience an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The interruption will affect Pamela Mboya, Koyani Centre, Kitare, Kayanja, Waondo, Luanda Nyamasare and adjacent customers.
In Laikipia County, Kenya Power has scheduled an outage in the Ibis Farm and Mia Moja areas from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Ibis Farm, Kirimara, Magutu, Mia Moja, Ngenia, Sirimon, GAW, Kithithina, Kwa Makara, Kwa Mumero, Graton and adjacent customers.
In Marsabit County, the whole of Marsabit Town and surrounding areas will be without electricity from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Karare, Marsabit Level V Hospital, Kituruni, Sasura and adjacent customers.
In Mombasa County, electricity supply will be interrupted in Dongokundu and Mbuta from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Corner Mbaya, Bububu, Dongokundu, Taifa Gas, Toa Freeport, Mwangala Primary & Estate, Kiteje, DCC Office Dongo Kundu, Mbuta Hospital, Dr. Karega and adjacent customers.
