Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced 40 job vacancies as it seeks to strengthen its workforce across academic and administrative departments.
According to a notice on Tuesday, September 1, the vacancies comprise 27 academic positions and 13 administration positions.
Among the academic positions advertised are five Senior Lecturer positions in Medical Laboratory Science, Special Needs Education, Criminology and Security Studies, Sanitation and Waste Management, and Law.
The university is also seeking lecturers in several disciplines, including Criminology and Security Studies, Foundations of Education, Music, Islamic Religious Education, Home Science, Law and Medical Laboratory Science.
MUST has further advertised five Lecturer positions in Clinical Medicine, as well as Tutorial Fellow positions in Medical Laboratory Science, Health Records and Information Management, Special Needs Education, Criminology and Security Studies, Sanitation and Waste Management, Public Health and Law.

On the administrative side, the university is recruiting four Clinical Instructors in Clinical Medicine, two Technologist III positions in Public Health, four Technician III positions in Medical Laboratory Science and three Technician III positions in Information Communication Technology.
MUST has directed interested candidates to visit its website for detailed information on the job descriptions and requirements for each position.
Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22.

MUST has also cautioned applicants that it does not charge any fee during any stage of the recruitment process, including application, shortlisting, interviewing or issuance of an offer.

At the same time, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 1,631 promotional vacancies for serving teachers.
In a notice on Tuesday, September 1, the commission invited qualified teachers to apply for the vacancies.
The promotional vacancies include Deputy Principal III - Regular (132), Senior Master II (29) and Deputy Headteacher II - Regular (1,470).
According to TSC, successful teachers will be posted to institutions where vacancies exist.
Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the online TSC portal at www.teachersonline.go.ke.
The deadline for submitting the applications is on Monday, September 14, 2026, at midnight. The commission emphasized that only applications submitted online will be considered.
"Only applications submitted through the online portal will be considered. Manual applications will not be accepted," the commission stated.
The commission also said teachers who applied for the same positions during the earlier advertisement should not reapply.
"Candidates who applied for these posts under the earlier advertisement and successfully submitted their applications need not reapply," TSC added.
