Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions that will affect customers in several parts of the country on Monday, September 7.

In a notice on Sunday, September 6, the company said the interruptions will affect selected areas in Nairobi, Bomet, Siaya, Migori, Nyeri and Meru counties.

In Nairobi, the interruption will affect United Nation, including UN Crescent Road, Limuru Road, Gigiri Road and adjacent customers.

In Bomet County, areas listed under Koiwa, Sotit and Kobel include Koiwa Market, Kipkoibet Market, Kobel Market, Sotit Market, and Satiet Market.

Rorok Tea Factory, Kobel Factory, Siomo Tea Factory, Kaptebengwet Market, Ndalelai Market, Embomos and adjacent customers will also be affected.

In Siaya County, the scheduled outage will affect Sawagongo and surrounding areas, including Muhanda Market, Rawalo, Nyawara Girls, Sawagongo High School, Luri Primary School, Nango Gonad Primary School, Gongo Resource Centre and adjacent customers.

In Migori County, the affected areas will include Uriri and Stella, with the notice listing Uriri, Kanyakech, Kolwal, Oyani Center, Oyani Water, and Siro Girls.

Others are Bware, Achuth, Edemba, Kamsaki, Senta Garage, Stellah, Magongo, Mukuyu, Kakrao, God Jope, Kona Kowanga, Chamkombe, Nyasare Injiris, Kimadui, GOTV and adjacent customers.

In Nyeri County, the interruption will affect Kangaita and Mirichu, including Eucabeth School, Gondo, Kangaita Market, Gaki Secondary School, Mirichu Primary School and adjacent customers.

In Meru County, areas around Kariene Market and Gatimbi Market will be affected. 

The listed locations include Gikumene Secondary School, Kirige Secondary School, Woodlands Nursing Hospital, Mutharene Market, Igane Health Centre, Ruiga Primary School, Nkando Secondary School, Elobay Investment, Mwangathia, and Magundu.

Njuthine, Kaongo, Mbajone, Kirwiro Community, Ngonyi Market, Rwankware Coffee Factory, Kirigara Secondary School, Mukiria Polytechnic, Nyweri Village, Black Africa, Kairebi Secondary School and adjacent customers will also be affected.
