On Tuesday, September 8, ODM National Chairperson Gladys Wanga argued that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's meetings in Wamunyoro were evidence that DCP is nothing more than a village party.
Wanga stated that if DCP were a national party, Gachagua would not have been hosting people in his village home.
She argued that leaders of political parties which had national influence would meet people at central places, or engage with Kenyans where the voters are domiciled.
Wanga stated that ODM and UDA were the only true national parties in the country, and added that neither the late Raila Odinga nor President William Ruto confined their meetings to Bondo or Sugoi.
"Not once did Baba pitch camp in Bondo and ask people to engage him from there. There is no day Ruto asked any delegation to visit him in Sugoi.

"A national leader looks for a central place like Nairobi to meet delegations, or visits people where they are so that you see them in their true conditions. Leadership is about going to them, or letting people see you in Nairobi," she stated.
Meanwhile, Kisii Governor Simba Arati dismissed Linda Mwananchi amid its rising popularity across the country. He stated that the outfit was heading nowhere, and urged ODM supporters to stick with the faction led by Senator Oburu Oginga.
Arati boldly claimed that ODM will produce Kenya's next president after Ruto completes his second term in office.
Wanga maintained that the Orange Party would share the next government equally with their Broad-based partners, UDA. She revealed that the presidency and the cabinet would be split 50-50.
"If UDA produces the President, ODM will have a Deputy President. If they have 10 Cabinet Secretaries, we will also have the same number," she reiterated,
Gachagua announced the closure of his Wamunyoro conclave after he met a delegation from Isiolo and Mandera, and Gen Zs.
He noted the forum had allowed him to engage with Kenyans from across the country about the country's liberation from President William Ruto's government in 2027.
The ex-Deputy President had earlier stated that he would meet retired President Uhuru Kenyatta for consultation before announcing his decision on running for President.
