Kenya Power has announced planned power outages in four counties on Friday, September 11, as part of scheduled maintenance works.

In a notice on Thursday, September 10, the company said the outages will affect selected areas in Nairobi, Migori, Nyeri and Kitui counties.

In Nairobi County, parts of Donholm, Jacaranda and Kayole Spine Road will be affected. 

The areas include Salute Apartments, Umoja 2 SDA, Davana Hotel, Jacaranda Estate, Carmel Vale, Edenvale Schools, part of Donholm Phase 8, Greenspan Mall and Estate, as well as adjacent customers.

Parts of Runda will also experience an interruption, affecting Runda and adjacent customers.

In Upper Hill, the affected areas will include Railways Club, British High Commission, NIC Bank, Upper Hill Road, UAB, Matumbuatu, Uhuru Park, Kindaruma Road, Kiambere Road, KWFT Headquarters, Masaba Road and adjacent customers.

In Migori County, the outage will affect Masaba and parts of Kehancha. 

Listed areas include Masaba, Nyanchabo, Migori Airstrip, KEFRI, Kombe, Korubunyige, Nyamagagana, Narolong, Kehancha Primary School, Goikonge and adjacent customers.

In Nyeri County, the affected areas will include Mutathini and Illongwe. 

Customers in Muthathini Market, Lilongwe, Muthathini Booster, Muthathini PCEA, Karibaini and adjacent areas will be affected.

In Kitui County, the interruption will affect Mbondoni and Kavaini and surrounding areas. 

The listed locations include Mbondoni, Kiomo, Kioo, Maiyuni, Kavaini, Mbakini, Kwa Muthusi, Yenzuva, Kavaloi, Kanyaa, Kalimbui, Nguutani, Kakululo, Syongoni and adjacent customers.
