Kenya Power has announced planned power maintenance that will affect customers in five counties on Monday, September 14.
In a notice on Sunday, September 13, the company said the maintenance will affect parts of Nairobi, Bomet, Kericho, Murang’a and Meru counties.
In Nairobi County, power interruption is scheduled in the Kianda School, Kangemi and Communication Authority areas from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The affected areas will include parts of Waiyaki Way, Shell Waiyaki Way, Kangemi Gichagi, Kangemi Shangilia, Nairobi Water, Quickmart Waiyaki Way, Silicon Craft, Kangemi Sodom, Kabete Technical, End Market, and Mt. View Market.
Others are Kangemi Market, Khumbuini Primary School, Kangemi High School, Kangemi Primary School, Marenga Road, Co-op Bank Kangemi and Kangemi Bus Terminal, among other adjacent customers.

In Bomet County, customers in Tenwek and Merigi will experience an outage from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
The interruption will affect Gift Mart Supermarket, Equity Afia, Shell Petrol Station, Silibwet Market, Tenwek Mission Hospital, and Tenwek High School.
Njerian, Chepngaina, Motigo Factory, Stegro Tea Factory, Kiromwok, Kitomben, Mugango and Salaik, together with adjacent customers will also be affected.

In Kericho County, parts of Ainamoi will be without electricity between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
The affected locations include Gokul Quarry, West Valley Quarry, Laliat, Kiburet, Kapkormom and Moitik, as well as adjacent customers.
In Murang’a County, Kenya Power has scheduled maintenance in Njiris and Makomboki from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The affected areas include Kanyanjeru, Mwarano, Njiris High School, Mairi, Gatitu, Ikohokoko, Gatiaiani, Kairitu, Ciakahi, Gitwe, and Ngecha.
Makomboki Market, Makomboki Tea Factory, Ngurweini and Kanderendu, among other adjacent customers will also be affected.
In Meru County, parts of Marimba and Kathera will experience a planned interruption from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The affected areas include Marimba Market, Marimba Farm, Imenti Tea Factory, Kathera Girls, Kithirune Market, Uruku Prison, and AIPCA Wesley.
Others are Kaubau, Kaguma TBC, Kagwampungu, Ntemwene and Kanyoo, together with adjacent customers.
