Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has claimed that Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya will cause Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s downfall.

Speaking on Wednesday, September 16, Amisi accused Governor Natembeya of causing wrangles within the Linda Mwananchi movement.

The ODM lawmaker alleged that Governor Natembeya is pushing out some politicians from the movement. 

“Natembeya joined Linda Mwananchi, which I founded, and he has started pushing people like Babu out. You can even see them arguing over a microphone. 

“You want Sifuna to be President, yet you are disrupting the people who are supposed to help make him President. George Natembeya is actually Sifuna’s downfall,” Amisi claimed.

The Saboti MP also alleged that Governor Natembeya orchestrated his removal from the Linda Mwananchi WhatsApp group. 

“When Natembeya joined Linda Mwananchi, he first said that I should be removed from the WhatsApp group. One day, I woke up and found that I had been removed,” Amisi claimed. 

His remarks come a day after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino denied claims of a strained relationship with Sifuna.

Speaking on Tuesday, September 15, Babu said there was no reason for him to be at loggerheads with Sifuna because there was no conflict of interest, as they were running for different seats.

The lawmaker further denied allegations that he was jealous of Sifuna and was trying to sabotage Sifuna's presidential campaign.

"Those who are in doubt of the relationship that I have with my brother Sifuna, you have to know that I have no particular challenge or problem with him.

"Some are even going as far as saying that Babu is jealous of Sifuna. Babu Owino is vying for Nairobi Governor, and Sifuna is vying for president. There is no conflicting interest. There is no way Babu will fight Sifuna, so do not bring tension where there is none,” said Babu.
