Matiang'i, Orengo and Nyoro will be on tour together for the first time this weekend.

On Friday, September 25, Jubilee Party Presidential Aspirant Fred Matiang'i announced a Meet the People Tour in Narok Town with Siaya Governor James Orengo and Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro.

Matiang'i said the tour will take place on Sunday, September 27, and issued an itinerary.

Accompanied by their host, Jubilee Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta, Matiang'i, Orengo and Nyoro will first attend a church service, then engage with the members of the public at Rungu ya Moi.

"I will worship with the faithful at the Dominion Church, Olerai, before embarking on a Meet the People Tour of Narok Town.

"I will be accompanied by the Siaya Governor James Orengo, the People’s Party of Kenya (PPK) Party Leader Ndindi Nyoro and the Jubilee Party Secretary General," Matiang'i stated.

Nyoro had a closed-door meeting with Matiang'i a day after former President Uhuru Kenyatta endorsed him to take over as the Jubilee Party Leader.

The Kiharu MP stated that the meeting was to personally congratulate the former Interior Cabinet Secretary on behalf of PPK. He hinted that he also spoke to Matiang'i about his plan to introduce free Basic Education in the country from January 2028.

Elsewhere, Wiper Patriotic Front Leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced a meet-the-people tour in Busia County on Saturday, September 26.

Kalonzo will be joined by fellow party leaders from the United Opposition, Eugene Wamalwa of the Democratic Alliance Party of Kenya (DAP-K) and former Attorney General Justin Muturi of the Democratic Party (DP).

The Maa Region continues to be a key area of interest for politicians and political parties ahead of the 2027 General Election. ODM pitched camp in the region in a bid to solidify its support base.

The party is in the region for a three-day tour which began on Thursday with a thanksgiving ceremony for Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and a tour in Kajiado town.

ODM will hold rallies in Narok County on Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, DCP Leader Rigathi Gachagua visited the region before he left the country for the United States of America.

Gachagua has on multiple occasions claimed that the Maa Region was one of DCP's strongholds, apart from Nairobi and the Mount Kenya Region.
