The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has announced the date for its party nominations to select a candidate for the Migwani Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in Mwingi West, Kitui County.
In a notice on Monday, September 28, the party said interested aspirants can apply for the nomination through its online portal.
"Notice is hereby given that the United Democratic Alliance Party Nomination shall be held on Friday, 9th October 2026. Interested Aspirants are invited to apply for nomination by registering through the UDA party portal accessible at www.uda.ke," the notice read.
The party also announced the registration period for aspirants seeking to participate in the nomination exercise.
"The Registration Period shall commence on Monday, 28th September 2026, and close on Tuesday, 29th September 2026, at 5.00 p.m," the notice added.

UDA directed all interested aspirants to begin the application process by registering through its party portal.
The party said the nomination fee payment process would be integrated into the online registration system, with aspirants required to complete payment through the platform.
According to the party, registration will only be recognized as complete once both the registration and payment processes have been successfully completed.
"Registration is only considered complete after both registration and payment are successfully done through the portal," the notice further read.
UDA has set the nomination fee for the MCA position at different rates depending on the category of the aspirant.
Male aspirants will pay Ksh50,000, while female, youth and persons with disabilities (PWD) aspirants will each pay Ksh25,000.
The party said aspirants should make payments either through M-PESA Paybill Number 888092 using the aspirant's ID number as the account number, or through the designated bank account.
The bank payment details provided by UDA are: United Democratic Alliance, Account Number 131935888, KCB Elections, Prestige Plaza Branch.
This comes days after UDA announced revised dates for its Ward-Level Grassroots Elections in several counties.
In a notice on Thursday, September 24, the party said the revised programme followed deliberations by its National Elections Board, which reviewed the electoral schedule.
"Following due consideration and deliberations on the electoral programme, the National Elections Board has reviewed and revised the schedule for the Ward-Level Grassroots Elections," the notice read.
The UDA said the revised dates would replace the dates that had previously been communicated to party members and other stakeholders.
"The Board hereby gives notice that the elections in the affected counties shall be conducted on the revised dates set out below, which supersede the dates previously communicated," the notice added.
According to the notice, Kisii and Nandi counties will conduct their Ward-Level Grassroots Elections on Friday, October 2, 2026.
The counties scheduled to hold elections on Saturday, October 3, 2026, are Kericho, Baringo, Bungoma, Isiolo, Marsabit, Wajir and Mombasa.
The party also announced the registration deadline for members in the counties conducting elections on October 2 and 3.
"Registration deadline for counties conducting elections on Friday, 2nd October and Saturday, 3rd October 2026, shall be Monday, 28th September 2026, at 5.00 p.m," the notice further read.
