TUK Announces Job Vacancies [Details]

The Technical University of Kenya (TUK) has announced 24 job vacancies in the institution. 

In an advertisement on Tuesday October 13, TUK invited qualified and experienced candidate to apply for the positions. 

“Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent, and experienced candidates for teaching and administrative positions at The Technical University of Kenya (TU-K),” read the advert in part. 

The open positions include, senior lecturer Computing and Information Technologies (1), Structural and Geotechnical Engineering lecturer (3), Transportation and Highway Engineering lecturer (2), Water and Environmental Engineering lecturer (1), Power & Energy lecturer (3), Instrumentation & Control lecturer (2), Telecommunication & Information Engineering lecturer (1) and Aeronautical Engineering (Aircraft Structures) lecturer (1). 

Others vacancies for lecturers include are: Aeronautical Engineering -Avionics (1), Mechanical Engineering -Manufacturing/Material Science (1), Geodetic Science, Hydrographic and Engineering Surveying (1), Geospatial web development, topographic Mapping and Geovisualization (1), Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (1), Software Engineering and Systems Design (1) Multimedia Technologies and Interactive Media (1) and Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems (1). 

TUK also announced vacancies for Nursing Officer Grade X (1), Registered Nurse II Grade IX (1) and Chief Internal Auditor Grade XV (1). 

According to the university the terms of service for the lecturers shall be permanent and pensionable while the position of Chief Internal Auditor shall be on five years contract renewable once subject to performance.

Interested individuals are required to send a softcopy application including a detailed Curriculum Vitae, academic and professional corticates and any other relevant testimonials to the email address: [email protected]. 

The applicant should also send hardcopies to the Vice-Chancellor, The Technical University of Kenya (TU-K), P.O. Box 52428-00200 Nairobi, or hand deliver them to the University, HR, Room L17. 

Tuk noted that the applicants should specify the positions applied for and quote the reference number on both the envelop and the application letter.

The deadline for submitting the application is on October 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Elsewhere the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKIUAT) has announced 8 administrative vacancies. 

The positions include; Corporation Secretary and Director, Legal Services, Deputy Director Finance and Accounts, Assistant Manager Human Resource, Assistant Manager Portfolio Management, Assistant Manager Finance, Assistant Manager Internal Audit, Assistant Manager, Risk Management & Compliance and Senior Assistant Office Administrator.
