She alleged that after spending Ksh45,000 on the scan, the hospital declined to accept the images, forcing her to turn to TikTok to raise funds for another X-ray.
The patient further claimed that she had never received the results of either the X-ray or an ultrasound conducted at the facility.
“I am very disappointed with Kenyatta National Hospital. You have done me bad, and I am not afraid of speaking out,” she stated.
The patient further alleged that she was not given medication by KNH staff. She claimed that when she confronted one of the medical officers over the issue, she was told to be grateful for being provided with a bed and food at the facility.
“I confronted one of the medical officers and was told to be grateful because they had given me a bed and food. Seriously, you gave me a bed for free and food for free? Won’t I have to pay for them when I am being discharged?” she posed.
