On his part, Kalonzo lauded Sifuna, terming the party launch a major milestone. He further committed that the fete was instrumental in the fight to liberate the country.

"Congratulations, Sifuna, and the entire team on this important milestone in our collective journey towards a united and better Kenya. Predator aende WANTAM!" Kalonzo wrote.

On his part, Sifuna maintained that his party is committed to ensuring that the country gets a government that respects constitutionalism and the rule of law.

He further opined that the ODM party had become a shell of the great party it once was, stating that while they thought that his exit would have no impact, it led to the mass exodus of other members.

"Those in Baba's party who knew where he wanted to be have decided that they will follow me wherever I go. We left with ODM's foundation and pillars; what is left are cockroaches and bed bugs," he stated.

Sifuna launched his party headquarters days after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal determined that the LINDA party had not registered within the 90-day window despite reserving the Linda name.

Therefore, Linda Mwananchi's was allowed to reserve the name and register officially as a party.
