  • According to Kang’ata, there is no way a minister from South Africa can mistakenly refer to Odinga as president twice.

Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata has sensationally claimed that Lindwe Sisulu; the Minister for Water and Sanitation from Republic of South Africa, was in the country during the Madarka Day celebration to prop ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency.

Speaking during an interview on Wednesday night, Senator Kang’ata cited Sisulu’s address during the Madaraka Day celebration where she referred to Odinga as President.

According to Kang’ata, there is no way a minister from South Africa can mistakenly refer to Odinga as president twice. He therefore, made the conclusion that Sisulu was in the country to prop Raila for the top office.

“We saw a minister from South Africa referring to the former PM as ‘president’ surely you get the impression that that lady was there purposely to prop up Raila Odinga…A minister referring to Raila as President? Twice? Once yes, but twice?” Kang’ata posed.

Responding to Kang’ata, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr who was also at the same interview termed Sisulu’s remarks as a ‘non-issue’.

“Now that she called him President did he become President? ...It is no issue, none whatsoever,” Mutula divulged.

During the same interview, Kang’ata branded Raila a lazy politician, arguing that he is known to sit in Nairobi and wait for endorsements.

“…It has everything to do with political laziness. Raila has been staying in Nairobi waiting for endorsement,” Kang’ata said.
