A Nairobi court has issued arrest warrants for three persons believed to have important information regarding what happened to late Tecra Muigai; daughter of Keroche Breweries founders Tabitha and Joseph Karanja.
In a ruling on Wednesday, Nairobi Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul ordered the police to present before court three associates of Tecra’s boyfriend Omar Lali.
The three are; Kusai Lali, Ali Bakari and Abdul Hakina.
Reports indicate that the three were among the first responders when Tecra allegedly fell in the Lamu house sustaining injuries leading to her death.
“They have failed to heed summonses to appear before the inquest to testify. I, therefore, issue a warrant of arrest for them to be brought to court,” Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul ordered.

Meanwhile, Omar Lali on Wednesday failed to appear in court to testify in the inquest. This was the third time that Omar snubbed court summons regarding the ongoing probe.
Following his failure in court, Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul issued a fourth summons ordering Omar to appear in court on July 16, 2021 when the inquest resumes.
Elsewhere, the court has cleared three witnesses to testify secretly in the ongoing death inquest. According to the court, the three will allowed to testify anonymously in a bid to ensure their security.
"I have considered the application by the prosecution and all parties to safeguard the witnesses. The concerns are merited," the court ordered.
