A Chinese national has been arrested after he was caught in possession of four firearms and 201 bullets.
This is after officers drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Kitui, Nairobi headquarters and Kilimani, Diplomat Police, United Nations Security, Kileleshwa Police Station and National Security Intelligence Service (NSIS) raided his home at Kaputei Garden, Ivyland Park Court , Kileleshwa.
The man since identified as Dang Pengfei, was first caught in the possession of a pistol at Kanyonyo area on the Mwingi-Garissa Road on Friday, June 11.
According to a report filed at the Kileleshwa Police Station, the raid was prompted by the June 11 incident, after which they recovered three more firearms and the said bullets.
Police recovered; M4 assault rifle, CZ 75 pistol, Taurus revolver and Taurus pistol which were stashed in Pengfei's bed drawers and wardrobe.
It is yet to be established if the Chinese national is a licensed gun holder.
Police officers have maintained that they will also crosscheck to determine if the foreigner is involved in any kind of criminal activity.
