Health Ministry on Monday confirmed 98 new cases of COVID-19 from 1644 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive infections in the country to 37,079.
CAS Dr Rashid Aman announced that all the new cases are Kenyans except for 2 foreigners. 63 are males and 35 are females.
The youngest is a 9-year-old child while the oldest is 75 years.
Dr Aman also announced 62 new recoveries with 44 of the patients from under the home-based care system while 18 were discharged from various hospitals across the country.
The total number of recoveries so far is 23,949.

The death toll from the virus has also risen to 650 after two more patients succumbed between Sunday and Monday.
Cases per County
The cases are distributed across the country as follows: Nairobi 32, Mombasa 20, Meru, Uasin Gishu (8) cases each, Kiambu (5), Kisumu, Migori and Machakos (4) cases each, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kilifi, Taita Taveta and Murang’a (2) cases each, Garissa, Kwale, Samburu and Nakuru (1) case each.
In Nairobi, the 32 cases are from the following sub-counties: Embakasi East 5, Dagoretti North and Westlands (4) cases each, Embakasi Central, Kamukuji and Royambu (3) cases each, Dagoretti South, Embakasi West, Kasarani and Langata (2) cases each.
Other Regions
The 4 cases in Kisumu are all from Nyando while the 4 cases in Migori are from; Rongo 3 and Suna East 1.
In Machakos, the 4 positive infections are from Machakos Town (2) and Athi River and Kangundo (1) case each.
Elgeyo Marakwet, the 2 cases are from Keiyo North while in Kilifi, the 2 cases are from Kilifi North.
The 2 cases in Taita Taveta are from Voi while the 2 cases in Murang’a are from Gatanga.
