Kenya has recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in a day after 1,68 people tested positive.
This number is from a sample size of 7,556 and now brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 47,212.
A statement sent by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe indicated that 1,044 are Kenyans and 24 are foreigners.
12 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the fatality to 870.
Kenya also recorded 290 recoveries, 235 being from the home-base care program while 55 were from various hospitals.
