Former Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti is dead. The Ex-Imenti Central Imenti died in Nairobi after a short illness.
According to his son, Mutethia Irea, the father was in fine health until Saturday night when he had to be rushed to the hospital.
Mwiti won the Imenti Central Parliamentary seat during the 2013 general election through the Alliance Party of Kenya but lost to current MP Moses Kirima who vied on a Jubilee Party ticket in 2017.
In November 2017, he retired from active politics to venture into the corporate world.
