President Uhuru Kenyatta has kicked off his tour of the United Kingdom as he met the UN Conference of Parties President Alok Sharma on Tuesday at Kew Gardens.
The two held roundtable bilateral talks where they were joined by UK High Commissioner to Kenya Jane Marriott.
Environment Ministry Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko and his Foreign Ministry counterpart Raychelle Omamo were part of President Uhuru's contingent during Tuesday's event.
"Honour to meet President Kenyatta again at Kew Gardens today to celebrate the Kenya-UK Year of Climate Action," Sharma wrote on Twitter.

State House revealed that President Kenyatta and his host discussed the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) that is scheduled to occur between 31st October and 12th November 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland.
"The two also discussed the need for European nations to honour their climate action commitments to developing countries especially in Africa," State House wrote on Twitter.

President Kenyatta also witnessed the signing of an agreement that will see Kenya become a signatory to the Adaptation Action Coalition (AAC) and the UN Climate Action Summit (UN CAS).
The president also met African scientists who took the opportunity to display climate change mitigation inventions currently being implemented in Kenya and across the continent.
The UK has also announced that it will pump Ksh 20 billion into the government's Big 4 agenda with government and private investments targeting housing and manufacturing.
Ksh 8. billion will be channelled towards the construction of 10,000 green homes contributing to President Kenyatta's target of 500,000 new homes by 2022.
Other Kenyan projects set to benefit from Uk funding include Kaptagat Forest, Kipeto Wind farm Farm and 'green manufacturing' that will receive Ksh 67 million.
"This package of investments will create new jobs and unlock new opportunities for and Kenya businesses by strengthening the relationship between Nairobi and the City of London," UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said.
President Uhuru is on a three-day tour of the United Kingdom on the invite of the UK government.
On Wednesday and Thursday, he will co-chair the Global Education Summit alongside UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
He is also set to meet senior members of the Royal Family and hold bilateral talks with PM Johnson at Chequer's House.
