A man was on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, shot and killed by police officers during a protest by residents of Kahawa West, Nairobi County.
The residents were protesting the demolition of kiosks in the area that began in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
In a video seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, youths can be seen protesting while carrying the body of the deceased man.

Irate residents and traders whose structures had been demolished, staged protests at Kahawa West roundabout blocking the road.
They lit fires along the road, causing a huge traffic snarl-up in the area.
According to reports, the demolitions were allegedly conducted by the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS).
Traders woke up to find their stalls demolished and properties worth millions of shillings destroyed, and several others looted.
The incident has sparked outrage among members of the public online, who have questioned the recent actions by police officers in the country.
Over the last three weeks, the issue of police brutality has been at its peak, with several people reported dead at the hands of the police.
The incident happens at a time when eight police officers are facing murder charges in the death of two brothers from Kianjokoma, Embu County.
