Reports indicate that he died while being rushed to hospital after developing complications from injuries sustained during the alleged ordeal.
According to postmortem conducted on Muchangi’s body, he died as a result of blunt force trauma.
“We have found that he has injuries on the abdomen and in the head where some blood vessels in the abdomen have been raptured and is bleeding inside… The left side of the skull is fractured and is bleeding on top of the brain,” family pathologist Peter Ndegwa told the media.
Following Muchangi’s death, the total number of persons who’ve died in Kianjokoma over alleged police brutality now stands at four.
Kianjokoma residents took the streets a few weeks ago following the controversial death of; Benson Njiru and Emmanuel Muturi.
The two brothers were arrested over claims of violating curfew regulations. They, however, died a few hours after the arrest, with police claiming that they jumped off a moving vehicle.
Following their death, residents took to the streets where one person was shot dead in the protests.
So far, six police officers have been arrested and arraigned in court of the murder of the two brothers.
