Businessman and presidential hopeful Jimi Wanjigi has said that all Kenyans deserve to be economically independent.
In a statement seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, Wanjigi who is seeking the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket said he believes this can be achieved in our lifetime.
He went on to state that he is willing to take up the challenge and lead Kenyans in changing the course that the Kenyan economy is currently on, and that his only wish is to make this country better for every citizen.
“I am willing to take up the challenge of changing the trajectory of the Kenyan economy. Kenyans deserve to be economically independent & I believe it can be done in our lifetime,” said Wanjigi.
“As a businessman, my only hope is to make this country Better for everyone. A good economy benefits everyone, not just the elite. That is why we are fighting for an Economic Liberation,” he added.

The businessman who insists that his campaign is anchored on Article 43 of the 2010 Constitution which focused more on Economic and Social Rights of all Kenyans said a better life for Kenyans is achievable.
A few days ago, Wanjigi who has been traversing the country and holding meetings with various stakeholders from different regions said that he will be on the ballot come the next general elections.
He exuded confidence that he will be the one flying the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) flag in the next general elections.
“One of the greatest skills of leadership is being unshakeable in your resolve. I am confident that I’ll be on the Ballot come 2022 flying the ODM flag high. The time for a new Kenya has come,” said Wanjigi.
