The United Kingdom (UK) will now allow fully vaccinated Kenyans to enter their country without having to quarantine or take a covid-19 test before departure.
The announcement was made by UK High Commissioner to Kenya Jane Marriott via Twitter on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
"Delighted people vaccinated in Flag of Kenya will be able to travel to Flag of United Kingdom without quarantine, or taking a COVID test before departure.
"Great news for our peoples, business and tourism after tough 18 months. Huge thanks to @MOH_Kenya and CS Kagwe after our joint commitment two weeks ago," Marriott tweeted.

On September 17, 2021, Kenya was removed from the red list by the United Kingdom.
The changes in regards to travel restrictions took effect from Wednesday, September 22 at 4 am.
The UK has been working with Kenya to approve the Covid-19 vaccine certificate issued by Kenyan officials.
