Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has said he has four options he is considering ahead of the 2022 elections.
Speaking during an interview on TV47 Monday night, Kabogo noted that his first option is contesting for the country’s presidency. He argued that he has all it takes to be Kenya’s fifth President.
Secondly, Kabogo noted that he can also go for the Kiambu Gubernatorial seat and finish what he started in 2013, before being trounced by Ferdinand Waititu in the 2017 general election.
Thirdly, Kabogo divulged that he could try his luck in Nairobi politics, but did not reveal the exact seat he was considering.
Lastly, the former governor noted that he could also opt-out and watch from a distance as other leaders battle it out in the upcoming polls.

“I have options, I could go for the presidency, I could go back to Kiambu, I could give a stab to Nairobi or I could opt not to run. For me politics is a hobby. It is service, leadership to give service, not to go and eat,” he said.
According to Kabogo, the presidential contest at the moment is a two-horse race between Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga. He, however, noted that the dynamics could change as we move closer to the 2022 elections.
“Eight months is a very long time in politics…Something may happen and the horses disappear, it is a possibility, but as we seat today, yes, I don’t disagree that those are the two horses,” Kabogo said in reference to Ruto and Raila.
