Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has broken his silence on reports claiming that he is unwell, noting that he is fine, adding that there’s no need for worry among his fans.
Speaking to Nation, Mudavadi noted that he has been away from the public scene but will make a comeback soon.
“Niko salama kabisa. Watu wasiwe na wasiwasi. Niko imara kabisa (I’m very fine. Let people not be anxious. I’m very strong). In a few days’ time you will see me. There is no problem. I’m strong,” he told the local daily.
The last time Mudavadi made a public appearance was on October 31, 2021 when he addressed a rally in Thika in the company of other One Kenya Alliance (OKA) leaders.

Following his absence, there has been speculation that the former Vice President was unwell, with some sources claiming that the campaign had taken a toll on his body.
Meanwhile, only ANC party under the OKA alliance is yet to announce its official presidential candidate for the 2022 election.
So far, Wiper has endorsed Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford-Kenya has rallied behind Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula while KANU has backed Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
The four OKA principals are expected to later convene and agree amongst themselves the best lineup to field for the 2022 presidential election.
Meanwhile, some analysts have opined that OKA may end up failing to field a candidate and support either ODM leader Raila Odinga or DP William Ruto who are considered front runners in the race.
