ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has said the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) will most likely unveil its presidential candidate in early 2022.
Speaking on Sunday after attending a church service, Mudavadi noted that the process of selecting the best lineup is tedious, but expressed optimism that it could be completed by early next year.
He urged Kenyans to be patient, adding that a technical team is already working on the best criteria to pick a candidate.
“Personally I have not spoken to it. I know some of the members of OKA have made personal statements to that effect, but as an individual I have not spoken because I know it is not an easy process, and I have maintained we are not out of time… There is no hurry in that context; a decision will be made… a technical team is working on it, to me, you can stretch it into early next year,” he said the press.
Mudavadi’s statement comes a few hours after a section of ANC allied legislators threatened that ANC would ditch OKA if it does not name its presidential candidate By 25th December 2021.
